Law Alumni Association

On May 7th 2008, the UBC Law Alumni Association honoured some of UBC Law’s most outstanding alumni at an awards ceremony held in the Four Seasons Hotel Ballroom. Over 240 guests enjoyed entertaining and heartfelt speeches that paid tribute to the talents, achievements and contributions of this year’s group of award recipients. Honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award was Martin Taylor, Q.C. Alumni Awards of Distinction were handed out to Trudi Brown, Q.C. and Richard Peck, Q.C. Research Awards were received by Professors Bertie McClean, Q.C. and Dr. Catherine Dauvergne. The Young Alumnus Award was presented to Jamie Maclaren for his many accomplishments. All award winners received an original print created for the Law Alumni Association by celebrated Nuuchahnulth artist Joe David.
