Greg Steele has practised civil litigation in BC since 1980. He obtained his law degree from the University of British Columbia. He has experience in a broad range of practice, including insurance, commercial, wrongful dismissal, matrimonial, human rights and torts. He has represented individuals and corporations at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
He is a founding member and former Chair of the BC Law Institute, which undertakes a number of legal studies on its own initiative and for the provincial government. In 2007, he was appointed the Board of the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. He was the President of the Uniform Law Conference of Canada and was a member of the Canadian Delegation to The Hague Conference on Private International Law matters.
Greg is a member of numerous sections of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. He has been a member of Provincial Council and a member of the Executive of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Canada, the American Association for Justice, and is a member and former Executive of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2002.
